When Terry's sister Kathy Dillon married my brother Matt Dillon, Terry joined an extended family which included his brother-in-law, Matt's siblings and brother-in-law: Laurie Dillon, Lisa Dillon, Leigh Dillon and Bruce Scatchard. We were all saddened to have lost Terry from our family. One thing I will always remember about Terry is his subtle sense of humour. Reminiscing about Terry, I searched through various saved e-mail messages from him and found these examples which I would like to share:

Terry had keep us all well-informed about Y2K and how to prepare for it. After reading in a manual he had recommended that I should stock up on lentils, I wrote Terry and complained that I couldn't stand lentils! His response was:

January 4, 1999

The video that we got cautions "don't do anything weird" and try to drastically change your diet in stocking up, because you'll be under stress and not inclined to go on any new "health kick." They say choose things you know you'll eat, even stock up on your favourite junk food, because the last thing you need if disaster strikes is withdrawal symptoms!

Cheers, Terry

On another occasion, Terry wrote,

January 16, 1999 Had a great y2k meeting this week, 50 people despite the snow…other volunteers took over, glad because I've had the flu for two weeks. I've just started taking echinicea (sp?) for it but I'm told you have to take it religiously three times a day. A real challenge for me because I'm agnostic.

Cheers,

Terry

I appreciate the opportunity to add these memories to this web page.
