though i only met terry a handful of times at burma functions, after the first time, i was always happy to be able to get a seat next to him. terry was smart, thoughtful, and had an excellent sense of humor. terry always listened quietly, made certain he understood you, really thought about what was being said, and never failed to return to you a warm well-baked reply. honestly, talking to terry with a pint was like eating cookies. he was a pleasure to be with.
when i try to remember terry's face, the picture my mind retrieves always shows him with a small friendly grin. im glad i'll remember him that way.
