Since I had exchanged e-mail messages with Terry just a couple of weeks ago, news of his passing comes as a great shock.
I first met Terry through Friends of the Rainforest. He had just returned from Burma and had written a skit called "The Mad Teak Party", which Allison Gale and others performed on the Sparks Street Mall to draw attention to the situation in Burma.
"The Mad Teak Party" was an early example of Terry's enormous creative talent and his impassioned, self-less commitment to social justice.
I will miss him. His absence will leave a large void in the activist community.
My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
