Well, since you asked, or
at least clicked, I do have a story about this particular Paul Gross. I was leaving Toronto City Hall after a
1996 conference when "Thank you, Paul Gross" boomed over the outdoor
speakers. "What did I do?", wondered I.
It turned out City Hall was the finishing point for the Toronto AIDS Walk. Mr. Gross was hosting the after-walk festivities and playing guitar. I joined the queue of autograph-seekers. At the time, I was not familiar with Paul's work, but I do receive lots of e-mail from (female) fans looking for him. I introduced myself and asked if there was an e-mail address I could forward mail to.
"No, we're afraid there would be too much." he answered.
"I think I know what you mean," I sympathized, "I get too much of your e-mail and I'm not even you."
He seemed like a decent fellow. Remembered my name, anyway.
But I'm still getting inquiries about him. So I'll say it again: Sorry, but I'm not him and I don't know his e-mail address.
I can refer you to some Paul Gross (the actor) links.
Postscript: Growing up in Ottawa, I always thought my name was rather unusual. There were hardly any Grosses in the phone book. But when I typed my name into an Internet search engine, I saw a surprising number of Paul Gross's all over the world. And thanks to the Web, I learned that they are interesting folks with stories to tell. So the next time you find yourself procrastinating on the Web (call it research), try googling your name. You may be amazed at the results. And that, as much as anything I suppose, represents the wonder of this thing called the Internet.
